Military Community Center

Opened in the fall of 2016, the Military Community Center (MCC) at George Washington University is dedicated to enriching the support for military-affiliated students. Housed in a beautiful historic townhouse built in 1897 and located at 2035 F Street, NW, the MCC underwent extensive renovations in the summer of 2024 to ensure it remains a modern and well-maintained space for students. The center features two group study rooms, an open study area, a cozy lounge, and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, tea, and toaster oven. Additionally, students can enjoy the outdoor patio and gym area, providing a perfect blend of comfort and functionality for study and relaxation.

Career Services

At George Washington University, the Military & Veteran Services collaborates with GW's Center for Career Services to provide exceptional career support for our military-affiliated students. Each month, we host a Lunch and Learn Series, where students can gain valuable insights on building resumes, networking, interviewing and more. Additionally, we organize an annual elevator pitch competition known as The Pitch. This event brings together 20 employers from across the DMV area who offer one-on-one coaching to help students refine their pitches. Participants then present their pitches to a panel of judges, with the top three winning a cash prize. The Pitch is an excellent opportunity for students to practice networking, build confidence, and showcase their skills to potential employers.
