VA Work Study Program
Join our VA Work Study Program at George Washington University! Military & Veteran Services (MVS) offers employment opportunities for military-affiliated students who are utilizing their VA education benefits while attending GW. Through this program, students can work between 8-25 hours per week, performing administrative tasks and assisting fellow military-affiliated students and their families with process or benefits questions. If accepted, students may begin working as early as 30 days before the first day of the semester, earning DC minimum wage. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting your peers!
Eligibility
- Be receiving VA education benefits (Chapter 30, 31, 33, 35 or 1606).
- Agree to work no less than 8 hours per week and no more than 25 hours per week.
- Must be registered for the upcoming semester at a minimum of ¾ time.
- Must request certification via GWeb prior to the date the application is due.
- Complete the Application for Work-Study Allowance (valid for 1 year)

Fall 2024 applicants will be notified of their status by MVS on Friday, December 13, 2024.
Summer 2025 application will opens in April.
