The Military Student Success Workshop is a customized workshop to learn more about GW’s military student demographics, servicemembers’ transition from service to civilian life, the military student experience, resources and services to support GW military student success.
Studies by the American Council on Education have shown that a promising practice in fostering student veteran academic success is having faculty and staff aware of unique student veteran experiences and identities, campus, local, and regional resources to support student veterans, and ways to support student veteran success overall.
Based on a successful “Green Zone” model devised at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), GW has developed, with the partnership of GW student veterans, a workshop that can be customized to fit the needs of you and your colleagues in educating military students.
