Military & Veteran Career Services Initiative
MVS in collaboration with the Center for Career Services, established the Military and Veteran Career Services Initiative to support the career development of our military-affiliated students. Our services include resume writing techniques, internship opportunities, employment initiatives, and a variety of programmatic and networking events. Highlights of our offerings include The Pitch, an annual event in March where students can refine their interview skills and compete for cash prizes; our monthly Lunch & Learn series, featuring free Wawa sandwiches and expert speakers on career and academic topics; and the Sierra Club summer fellowship. Additionally, we host career fairs and facilitate one-on-one conversations with prospective employers.
Employers interested in sharing job opportunities with our student veterans, dependents, and military personnel can contact us at [email protected].

Sierra Club Summer Fellowship
The GW Career Services Council, in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability and Military and Veteran Services, has established the Charles and Deborah Frank Fellowship, generously supported by alumnus Charles Frank, B.A., CCAS 1974. This fellowship endows a summer position within the Sierra Club's Military Outdoors (SCMO) program. SCMO is dedicated to ensuring that military members, veterans, and their families have access to the beauty of nature by advocating for programs and policies that remove barriers hindering their outdoor experiences.
