VALOR Partners

Operation GW VALOR consists of collaborative partnerships with organizations and offices across the University. Please explore the directory of these offices to learn more about what they do.

GW Partners:

The Veteran Service Initiative is a program through our Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service to engage veterans with community service projects through the DC area and beyond.

GW'c campus is home to very active student veterans. The GW Veterans Student Organziation is an all student-run organization that provides events and support for members of the student veterans and military community. Membership is open to anyone who is current active duty military, a military veteran, families of military and veterans as well any campus supporters of these communities.

External Partners:

The USS George Washington Aircraft Carrier shares a common namesake, General George Washington, and out of respect for that relationship we are working to create a strong habitual relationship with the sailors aboard the carrier.

With a headquarters located right on GW's Foggy Bottom Campus, the Student Veterans of America (SVA) has become a strong partner of the George Washington University. With an active student veterans group at GW, the university works closely with SVA to serve all members of the student veteran community.

AS GW continues to grow it's presence in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we are proud supporters of the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) InitiativeTo preview GW's learning centers around Virginia, please visit our Off-Campus Programs website.

GW is the home to four Tillman Scholars who have been recognized to their committment to their service and to their academics. Our number of scholars is the highest from any single institution, matched only by Harvard University. You can read the June, 2013 GW Today story for the full description of our scholars.
