GW VALOR Leadership

VALOR Staff: works daily to make the George Washington University a better place for veterans and dependents, and to make GW compatible with as many servicemembers as possible, so that everyone can receive a premium higher education.

The VALOR Academic Council is a group of academic leaders representing all of GW's Schools and Colleges who gather quarterly to discuss how GW's course offerings and academic support services can be best tailored to assist the university's military and veteran students. The group is charged with helping to formulate innovative academic programs.

VALOR Champions are key collaborative stakeholders, university-wide across GW divisions, programs, schools, and geographic locations who choose to champion Operation GW VALOR vision, mission, strategy, priorities (3 core values and initiatives-learning, service and excellence), and principles (PATRIOTS).  Meets periodically with VALOR staff to gain understanding of the Operation GW VALOR vision, mission, strategy, priorities (3 core values and initiatives-learning, service and excellence), and principles (PATRIOTS), to provide their views and perspectives, and to consider taking action to enhance the success of student military members, their student dependent family members, and student veterans (so as to) accelerate learning opportunities and rewards (VALOR).
