GW VALOR Lays Wreath at Arlington
On Wednesday, August 31st, three people in GW VALOR’s family laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, commemorating Operation Iraqi Freedom Day. Victoria Pridemore, Director of the VALOR Student Services Office and Sergeant First Class in the Army National Guard shared the honor with Mr. Saif Khan, an Army veteran and GW graduate, as well as Mr. Willie Floyd, a Marine veteran and current GW student.
On March 13, 2003, President George Bush announced on live television the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Every year, Operation Iraqi Freedom is remembered on August 31st, the anniversary of the end of the operation in 2010. GW VALOR deeply appreciates the sacrifices every service member made during OIF and every other conflict the United States has been involved in.
